The
RPG-7V (CHICOM Type-69) is a muzzle
loaded, shoulder fired, Soviet produced
short-range anti-armour rocket-propelled
grenade launcher. Good against armoured
vehicles, defensive positions, personnel
and even helicopters. This smoothbore,
recoilless weapon consists of a launcher
tube fitted with a simple iron sight or a
more sophisticated telescopic
range-finding sight. Shoots 40mm HEAT
rocket grenades. The rocket/warhead is
loaded into the front of the launcher.
Pulling the trigger strikes a percussion
cap. The cap ignites a solid-fuel rocket.
The rocket propels the 85mm warhead
forward without significant recoil.

Accuracy
limits the standard RPG-7 to a practical
range of 50m, although it can reach 150
or even 300m in skilled hands. It has an
indirect fire (bombardment) range to
920m, limited by the 4.5 second
self-destruct timer. The shooter must
shoot and scoot. RPGs are usually
visible, and some leave a smoke trail
leading back to the shooter. |

GAME
DATA: RPG-7V The RPG-7V is a
dangerous weapon. Like all Soviet
weapons, it's easy to use, good at it's
job and very destructive. There are very
few RPG's around the more urban areas,
but you might get lucky.
